Charged up
"It is interesting that most of these charges are eight years old. Why weren't they prosecuted and done then? Because the Democrats needed to have him win an election," Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) said Thursday. "Now they don't want their guy in office. Because why? He stood up to President Biden."

Link to quote: Political timing of Biden DOJ indictment of Eric Adams questioned by critics (msn.com)

I have to admit that the curious case against NYC Mayor Eric Adams is backed up by some strong evidence. However so were possible cases against certain 2020 rioters and an FBI lawyer who falsified a FISA request. People have become skeptical about prosecutors, the FBI and the DOJ and they have plenty of reasons to be skeptical.

Yesterday prosecutors laid out the charges which include bribery, conspiracy, fraud, and soliciting donations from a foreign national. Adams spent years accepting free airline tickets, lavish overseas accommodation and illegal campaign donations from Turkey, prosecutors said. In exchange, they said he pushed officials to approve a new Turkish consulate. Adams says he won't quit despite calls from AOC and more recently the editorial board of the New York Times asking him to step down.

If Adams were to step down, the line of succession for mayor of the Big Apple means the office would temporarily go to Public Advocate Jumaane Williams. Williams would then have three days to set the date for a special election, and he would serve as mayor until the new mayor is elected. Williams is a surrogate for AOC and a self-described democrat Socialist.

Here is the problem for many people observing all of this:

The indictment of Adams comes against the backdrop of a DOJ that has wielded particularly aggressive law enforcement against some of the Democrats’ ideological and political enemies, such as former president  Donald Trump , anti-abortion advocates, and Jan. 6 rioters.

Adams drew the ire of some fellow Democrats when he began speaking out last year against the Biden-Harris administration's immigration policies amid a massive influx of migrants to New York City.

The Democratic mayor accused President Joe Biden of  abandoning the city  as it struggled to manage the consequences of the Biden-Harris border crisis. Adams was among the first prominent Democrats to criticize the Biden-Harris administration for its handling of immigration. His criticism shined a spotlight on a problem that had remained a sole Republican complaint for years, and it  helped create the bipartisan scrutiny  of immigration that has turned the matter into one of voters' top concerns this election.

Political timing of Biden DOJ indictment of Eric Adams questioned by critics (msn.com)

The moral of the story is that when the DOJ abuses its power to prosecute political enemies, it loses the trust of the American people.

Biden pledged another $8 Billion for the Ukraine including bombs for F-16 fighters and another Patriot missile battery. It followed a blatant political photo op presented by Volodymyr Zelensky who visited an ammo plant in PA surrounded by democrats.

U.S. intelligence is stressing the risk of allowing Ukraine to strike Russia with long-range Western missiles. Officials said it would likely bring retaliation without meaningfully improving Kyiv’s chances of success.

World leaders are urging a pause in fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Benjamin Netanyahu will speak before the UN today.

The special counsel investigating Trump’s efforts to overturn the election submitted a sealed briefing outlining his findings. A Trump hating judge is expected to allow derogatory findings concerning Donald Trump to be released within the final month of a Presidential campaign.

The F.D.A. approved the first new treatment for schizophrenia in decades.

Straight up bullshit.

They are not political enemies.  They're guilty of the crimes that they committed.  Has nothing to do with the Democrats.   Has everything to do with the former 'president' convicted felon rapist traitor being a traitor and trying to overturn an election.

Adams, Democrat or not, throw the book at him.  Just blaming someone else for their mis-deeds, sounds like a typical republicon.

Democrats do seem to clean house regularly and don't just cover over faults no matter how insignificant they seem. Remember Senator Frankin who got railroaded out of the Senate by Democrats asking him to step down because before he was a Senator he made a fellow comedian uncomfortable when kissing her in a USO skit and took a photo where he was several feet away but it looked like he was grabbing her boobs. That was enough to get the boot by Democrats. With Republicans, they're doing their best to get a 34 times convicted felon, 24 times accused sexual predator, accused child rapist, liar, conman and twice impeached former President who incited an attempted insurrection, elected President. A decade ago, no Republican would have ever thought such a thing could happen in their party, but now that the party has been completely hijacked by MAGAites, they have no shame, morals or reason and don't care who they vote for no matter how distasteful, even those that are convicted felons or those claiming to be 'black Nazi's', as long as they believe in their tiny little minds that they're "owning the libs".

Trump, in Zelenskyy meeting, vows to negotiate Ukraine-Russia accord that’s ‘good for both sides’ - POLITICO

That is why Zelensky went there.

Here is the difference:

What was  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky  doing at what sure  looked  like a partisan US political event this week?

And how did the White House let this happen?

Zelensky got flown into battleground Pennsylvania aboard a USAF C-17 plane on Tuesday; he then toured the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant accompanied by Gov. Josh Shapiro, Sen. Bob Casey, Rep. Matt Cartwright — the last two being active Democratic candidates.

And it looks like no GOP candidates got invited — trapping a foreign head of state into apparently taking sides in US domestic politics.

Yet Zelensky was guarded by Secret Service agents and driven around in Secret Service vehicles, adding more reek of impropriety: Who covered those expenses?

Someone in the Biden administration pulled a fast one: Pennsylvania has a fair number of anti-Russian Polish-Americans and others of Eastern European heritage who might be swayed by Zelensky’s seeming preference.

Zelensky's arms-factory visit reeks of partisan foreign-election interference (nypost.com)

Trump currently has no authority to use the Diplomatic Protection Services or the US Air Mobility Command to protect or transport foreign dignitaries within the USA.

I have no doubt that if the normal services were extended to Orban or Netanyahu they would have chosen to use one of the C37A or C37B business class jets that the USAF operates out of Andrews AFB specifically used for foreign dignitaries as part of our Air Diplomacy Doctrine.

Why Zelensky was flown in a C17 transport plane may be because it was already headed there, but it would not my first choice to just fly for transportation from point A to point B.

All that being said, do you know for Imprint Sure that Biden didn't extend those typical courtesies to Orban or Netanyahu.  In the past Netanyahu has used various methods to reach the USA before taking advantage of the diplomatic courtesies available to him. In July Netanyahu flew the Israeli Boeing 767 ( Wing of Zion ) to the USA for the very first time but used US Air Force jets for smaller trips within the USA.

Did they do it on the tax payer dime with secret service protection?

I answered this in great detail Ronin.  Why are you asking questions which have already been pointed out to be

required by law ( Congress ).

A Federal law requires the protection and if necessary safe transportation of foreign dignitaries within the USA.

Security Service manpower and transportation is the responsibility of the Diplomatic Security Service which answers to the Department of State. Theu look and act exactly like the Secret Service.

Zelensky didn't pay for his own airfare here;

So what?  The Air Force Mobility Command shuttles US Congressmen and foreign dignitaries like Victor Orban and Benny Netanyahu all over the world to the tune of 108,000 miles annually.

and government funds shouldn't be used for a Democrat photo op.

So it looks like that happened ( at least to Republicans ) what can you do about it?  The area is deeply grateful for the contracts which have provided overtime and expansion. They also tend to vote for Trump.  The trip wasn't a secret so whatever Republicans should have shown up can probably share the embarrassment.

Monroe County also had several residents proudly convicted of multiple felonies from the January 6th "Capital Tour"/s

Fuck him and Democrats for supporting him.

Well how do you feel about all of the Republican Senators and House members who have passed all of this legislation giving or lending $ or military arms to Ukraine from 2022 to this week?

Ukraine offers the US jack shit of nothing we can't supply for ourselves.

They offer character with a spine to deny the land grab from their much larger but seemingly incompetent neighbors.  They have already redefined modern land and sea battles conducted by drones.

But keep poking the Russian bear. Sooner or later Putin will be forced to poke back at NATO/US. It won't be with conventional weapons either.

Can you name the places where Russia has dramatically failed while threatening use of nukes?

I can.

Melania Trump on Wednesday said she considers it miraculous that her husband survived the  two assassination attempts against him  and revealed that she was fuming after the FBI rummaged through her Florida home.

former-first-lady-melania-trump-90416948.jpg?w=1024

In her first television interview in more than two years, the former first lady told  “Fox & Friends”  co-host Ainsley Earhardt that she struggled to comprehend what had happened when she saw her husband, former President Donald Trump, “on the floor” at the July 13 Butler, Pa., rally after he was grazed by a would-be assassin’s bullet.

“I ran to the TV and I rewind[ed] it and I watched it,” Melania said of her immediate actions after being told by her chief of staff that her husband was OK but that there had been a shooting at the rally.

“When I saw it … nobody really knew yet [what had happened],” she continued. “When you see him on the floor and you don’t know, you don’t know what really happened.”

Melania Trump calls husband’s survival of two assassination attempts ‘miracles’ in rare TV interview  (nypost.com)

“You know, only consequential presidents get shot at,” - Donald J Trump

"The 20 July plot was a failed attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler, the chancellor and leader of Nazi Germany, and overthrow the Nazi regime on 20 July 1944. The plotters were part of the German resistance, mainly composed of Wehrmacht officers."

"I'm not supposed to be here tonight. Not supposed to be here. Thank you. But I'm not. And I'll tell you. I stand before you in this arena only by the grace of Almighty God." - Donald J Trump

So, Donald is apparently as 'consequential' as Hitler and was apparently protected from assassination by the same God.

I do believe Lincoln loved this country and the law of the land, our constitution. Trump, not so much.

Trump said of Sean Hannity. “He says, ‘You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?’ I said: ‘No, no, no, other than day one."

“A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” - Donald J Trump

Indeed.

But in your opinion… to equate the love of country, the understanding of the promise of the Union, and the desire to endure the sacrifices required to make it possible separates the two immeasurably. Saying Lincoln and trump both have a similar love of country is rather difficult to reconcile

The former was and is remembered as an inspiration. The latter is and will always be remembered as a cautionary tale.

Democrats never spread disinformation. jrSmiley_85_smiley_image.gif

Nor do they abuse government agencies to do so. Hunter Biden's laptop was a Russian hoax- signed by 51 current/former intelligence officials. FBI placing their people within social media companies to "Russian disinformation" by spewing their own disinformation.

Democrats love spreading Chines and Iranian disinformation. Almost as much as their politicians love allowing Chinese spies into key positions in their offices, assistants, or staff.

Also, Russia was playing both sides- and still is. Can't say the same about China and Iran.

Russian interference didn't end with Trump's election victory.

Shortly after the November vote, the Russians helped organize several pro-Trump rallies at the same time they organized anti-Trump protests, calling on people to object to the election results.

On November 12, the Russians helped coordinate an anti-Trump rally that drew as many as 25,000 people,   according to NBC News .

Fox News   reported   that Michael Moore, the prominent documentary filmmaker who strongly opposes Trump, attended that rally.

About a week later, the Russians organized a protest called "Charlotte Against Trump" in North Carolina.

These rallies represented just a fraction of the dozens of other   rallies that took place in cities across the US   after Trump's victory.

Take care of your own party's sheeple first when it comes to spreading disinformation.

Helene  has reportedly killed at least 20 people and inflicted more than 4m power outages across the south-eastern US after crashing ashore in north-western Florida late on Thursday as a potent category 4 hurricane, according to officials.

The storm – which registered maximum sustained winds of 140mph (225km/h) – had weakened to a tropical storm over Georgia early on Friday, when residents whose communities experienced Helene’s peak effects more directly were only just beginning to fathom the recovery process ahead.
