Facts, evidence and those who are above the law.

Facts, evidence and those who are above the law.
“At the very least, he misled Congress through his transcribed interview,” subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) told the Washington Examiner in an exclusive interview ahead of the hearing. “Lying to Congress is a felony.”

More evidence of a coverup have now emerged. We kind of knew that Dr Fauci and his associates enabled US funding for the very dangerous studies going on at the Wuhan lab. Now one of Dr Fauci's closest associates has been caught red-handed trying to circumvent the FOIA.

David Morens, a top Fauci aid, who is slated to give his first public testimony before Congress on Wednesday, once bragged about helping Fauci evade the Freedom of Information Act by using Fauci's private email address or just handing him documents in person, according to newly disclosed emails. The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic has already published the evidence. On Wednesday the American public and the so called "critical thinkers" will have to confront the facts.

Morens is also closely tied to Peter Daszak, head of the nonprofit research firm EcoHealth Alliance , which used National Institutes of Health grants to fund coronavirus research at the infamous Wuhan Lab. In the past we learned that Daszak helped create a false report that indicated the pandemic started at a wet market in Wuhan, China. A report that Dr Fauci was quick to promote.

Gain-of-function experiments are the sort of work that was being conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology when the COVID-19 pandemic first started in China in late 2019 and  some experts fear a lab accident  is what led to the global outbreak that killed 3.4 million.

In the 2012 paper, Fauci acknowledged the risky research could lead to serious lab accidents but the chance is rare and the work is “important” because it helps the scientific community prepare for naturally occurring pandemics.

Fauci once argued viral experiments worth the risk of pandemic (nypost.com)

Dr Fauci who was the leading advisor to two Presidents during the pandemic recommended that the economy be shut down in 2020. When it first became known that Dr Fauci and his associates might be behind the US funding for "gain-of-function" research at the Wuhan lab, Fauci noticeably began to distance himself from President Trump and began to enamor himself to incoming president Biden and the democrats. That is exactly how a public official who wants to avoid accountability must play his cards. It is the democrats who will provide cover. In his many decades as a key public health official, Fauci at least knew that.

Potential criminal investigation

"Sources familiar with the matter confirmed for the Washington Examiner that Morens did not provide a written opening statement before the hearing, a highly unorthodox choice considering that most take the opportunity to present their case to the congressional panel.

Wenstrup said the evidence they have reviewed thus far may lead the subcommittee to recommend criminal charges for Morens to the  Department of Justice , but more work is necessary to determine what charges would be appropriate.

“As we go through it and learn more, we may make some criminal referrals,” Wenstrup said. "Hopefully we have a Department of Justice that’s willing to act when laws have been violated.”

Subcommittee Republicans already recommended that the DOJ investigate Daszak for violations of criminal statutes for  knowingly  making false claims to obtain government funds and  deceiving  the U.S. government by fraud.

It is unclear whether a similar procedure would be followed in the case of potential criminal recommendations against Morens.

Although Wenstrup did not seem confident of strong bipartisan support on the issue, ranking member of the subcommittee Raul Ruiz (D-CA) told the Washington Examiner in October that he supports the investigation of Morens insofar as it is not misconstrued to suggest that Morens was involved in suppressing the lab leak theory of origin for the virus.

“The willful evasion of public transparency requirements by any government official is unacceptable and a clear violation of the public’s trust, which NIH and NIAID have dutifully upheld for decades,” Ruiz said last fall."

House Republicans consider criminal charges for top Fauci aide in email scandal (msn.com)

Two things we can depend on; Neither Morens nor Dr Fauci will ever be punished for perjury of FIOA violations. The left will never accept the facts.

The two men are responsible for the funding of research that led to the pandemic that took the lives of millions and destroyed the lives of millions more.

In other news:

Israel faces criticism for the recent strike in Rafah with killed about 45 people. The strike killed two Hamas officials, the Israeli military said. Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hamas of hiding among civilians and called the death of civilians a tragedy.

Closing arguments in Trump’s Manhattan sham trial begin today.

The Biden administration published guidelines on the use of "carbon offsets."

The basketball star and commentator Bill Walton died at the age of 71.

Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Cori Bush, D-Mo., appeared to mix up Memorial Day with Veterans Day in since-deleted posts on X, formerly known as Twitter. The Trump haters were too busy waiting to see what Trump posted.

Not really surprised. Anyone who would expect more out of the Bidens hasn't been  paying attention the last 50 years.

As with the story of Dr Fauci, the facts on the Bidens will take a long time to be fully known.

The commencement speech at Brandeis University was delivered by Ken Burns.

Burns is a rare liberal who is able to make history entertaining and interesting without inserting his own personal beliefs.

At Brandeis he warned a lot of frightened students, not about antisemitism coming from the left, wide open borders nor rampant crime, but of the danger of a second Trump term.

I don't think that held true in his Vietnam doc whatsoever.  He very much had an agenda.

but of the danger of a second Trump term.

Shockingly, the entire internet didn't attack him for delivering an explicitly partisan commencement speech. It's almost like there's a double standard.

Don't forget to give Brandon his share of the blame.

He is guilty of everything Trump is being charged with; but the corrupt partisan DOJ won't even consider it.

The only reason Trump stands a chance this election is that Brandon and the Democrats have run this country into the ground; used the FBI. CIA, IRS, and DOJ against their political opponents; and have proven themselves unfit to lead at every level of government.

That is where Democrats have gotten us.

Last movie I ever saw with de Niro in it was Machete in 2010. His acting totally sucked in that and I haven't watched anything with him in it since. He's a washed up bitter old hasbeen who should have just quietly retired and shut up years ago.
