*** YOU CAN STILL WATCH THE VIDEO BUT NOW ITS ONLY VIEWABLE ON THE YOUTUBE SITE ***

Excerpt of  Review From Krishna's Ripe Tomatoes:

This is one of the best videos I've seen on the subject (and its definitely the most balanced between the "two different sides' to the conflict.

1. You can still watch the video on the YouTube site.

2. YouTube now provides a text-only version of videos. (The Transcript is text only, not a video). Below is a copy and paste of the opening lines ( of the soundtrack of this video):

3.  This text version doesn't do justice to the impact of the actual video-- unfortunately he just made it so you have to click on it to go to YouTuber to watch it.

This is the most controversial video I

0:06

will make and it's about Israel and

0:09

Palestine and more than 10 million

0:12

people have asked for this video so here

0:15

it is with no filters and I hope you

0:19

watch to the end I'm going to take you

0:22

on a journey to finally understand my

0:26

Israel

0:27

and my Palestine

My Background

0:35

in 1992 God gave me the greatest gift in

0:40

the world to be born in the most

0:43

controversial place on Earth

0:47

inside of Israel to a Palestinian family

0:51

yes 20 of Israel is not Jewish it is

0:56

made of people like me Muslim Arab

1:00

Palestinian for Generations but born

1:04

under the Israeli government with an

1:07

Israeli identity and passport

1:13

I wish I was born in Denmark instead

1:17

with blonde hair and blue eyes

What I saw

1:20

but I wasn't

1:22

my unique controversial background

1:26

helped me see things not many people can

1:31

see for one I saw what Palestinians see

1:35

I was called a terrorist by a 15 year

1:39

old Jewish girl

1:52

I was almost attacked by an Israeli

1:56

soldier

2:02

and I was stuck at checkpoints for hours

2:08

I saw what Israelis see I saw Rockets

2:12

fall on Israel I hid in a bomb shelter

2:17

with Israeli friends and I saw Jews

2:20

afraid for their life

2:24

I opened my Facebook and I saw my

2:28

Palestinian friend who lost his innocent

2:31

cousin from an Israeli airstrike I

2:34

scroll and I see my Israeli friend who

2:37

lost his brother from a Palestinian who

2:41

stabbed him in the back outside of the

2:44

conflict I saw Palestinians living in

2:47

refugee camps just because they're

2:50

Palestinians where are you from

2:53

I saw Jews kicked out of the Middle East

2:57

just because they're Jewish what's in

3:00

common with everything you saw suffering

3:04

pain anger suffering

3:09

it exists on both sides both sides and

3:14

no one can deny that no one suffering

3:18

pain anger you know a lot of people want

Whats in common

3:23

to see Israel disappear

3:25

I don't I think Israel should exist

3:28

because it has good people inside of it

3:30

and I think Palestine should exist

3:32

because it has good people inside of it

3:34

and that's why I think it's not one or

3:37

the other

3:38

and I really don't like it when

3:40

everybody keeps saying it's one country

3:43

it's fake countries it's it's a stupid

3:46

argument Israel and Palestine is not a

3:49

game where people get to pick sides and

3:52

cheer on them from a distance for you

3:55

it's a conflict that's thousands of

3:58

miles away but for me it's life and

4:01

death if Israel doesn't exist that means

4:05

the death of my family if Palestine

4:08

doesn't exist that means the death of my

4:12

people that's why we need two

4:15

independent countries for two people

4:17

living side by side in peace with no one

4:22

dying not from an airstrike or a knife

4:25

attack it's my job and yours to push for

4:29

a solution that stops the suffering

4:34

it's been going for 74 years non-stop my

My solution

4:40

solution is simple bring people together

4:43

not apart this is why we make these

4:46

videos this is why we support the many

4:50

Israelis who want peace and the

4:53

Palestinians who need peace we hired six

4:57

Palestinians in my company and we hired

5:00

three Israelis too we invested in real

5:03

estate in Palestine and we invested in

5:07

tech companies in Israel too this video

5:10

is not about me this is not about Israel

5:14

or Palestine this is about every

5:18

conflict in the world the extremists on

5:22

both sides will force you to join them

5:25

and be them but you are not them you are

5:29

not an extremist who wants to keep the

5:32

suffering Alive You and I I just want a

5:36

solution so instead of siding with the

5:39

extremist get out of your village and

5:42

befriend an enemy you will see what I

5:45

saw for 30 years you will see that they

5:49

want the same things you do you want a

5:53

home you want a job you want a family

5:56

but above all you just want to live

That's just the very beginning . . . the actual video is, IMO, very amazing!

NAS DAILY is the name of this guys blog sites, He has a yuge following-- and for good reason. This video, IMNSHO gives one of the best understanding of the Arab-Israeli conflict I've seen.

In addition, his work is an example of many ways to raise blogging to another level of excellence!

I do realize that for many people on social media, its not considered "politically correct" to actually watch a video before commenting on it (!!!), so here's a spoiler  of one part of it: He is an Arab, born in Israel (IIRC in Nazareth?) and a citizen of Israel.

What's a bit unusual is that he identifies as an Arab-- but also as an Israeli!

When I first discovered his work I only saw many excellent travel videos-- videos with a focus on native peoples of the areas, not on the tourist sites.

His goal is to create understanding amongst all people-- world wide.

An amazing guy IMO-- to learn more about him here's a good article (Wikipedia) . Brief Excerpt:

Early life and education

Yassin was born in   Arraba,   Israel, to an   Arab Muslim   family of   Palestinian   descent. [4]   He is a   Palestinian Arab   with Israeli citizenship. Yassin had called himself   Palestinian-Israeli. [

Yassin applied to  Harvard University  in the  United States  at the age of 19, seeking a degree in  aerospace engineering . [10] In September 2014, he started working as a software developer for  Venmo , a mobile payment service owned by  PayPal , in  New York After meeting Facebook founder  Mark Zuckerberg  in early 2018,  Nas Daily  was upgraded to "show" status, [19]  and by September 2018, his page had amassed over 8 million followers. More (Wikipedia):

Obtaining Saint Kitts and Nevis citizenship

In 2022, Yassin disclosed that he had acquired citizenship in  Saint Kitts and Nevis , becoming a dual citizen and obtaining its passport. This new citizenship allowed him to gain entry into  Malaysia , as he had previously been restricted from entering the country due to his Israeli citizenship. [33]

Self-Identification as an Israeli-Palestinian

Yassin has shifted his self-identification from "Palestinian-Israeli" to "Israeli-Palestinian" following the  2023 attacks on Israel by Hamas . As an  Arab citizen of Israel , Yassin's identity has long incorporated both his Palestinian heritage and his Israeli citizenship.

However, the violence appears to have caused him to re-evaluate how he views himself. In the past,

Yassin struggled with his mixed identity and often emphasized the "Palestinian" part over the "Israeli." However, after seeing Hamas' atrocities, he has come to the conclusion that Israel is the only homeland he truly has, even if he is not Jewish. [9]

Although I have personally experienced the vicious evil things that some Arabs have done, I've also had personal experience with Arabs who I consider people I would be happy and comfortable with as good friends.  Yassin could be such a person.

I've seen several of his other videos, so I can assure you that he is! jrSmiley_2_smiley_image.png
