How Democrats Could Have Won, Easily.

Despite outspending Republicans two to one, having a legacy media that promoted their preferred talking points and running against a historically unpopular candidate, Democrats managed to miss what should have been a layup.  Some simple choices could have avoided it.

1.  Biden should have pardoned Trump in 2021.  This shouldn't be a shock to anyone but Trump's entire brand and appeal is being anti-establishment and hated by elites. That "drain the swamp" was a winning slogan for him is a pretty big giveaway. Literally, the best possible thing that could boost his brand was a prosecution by that swamp. It's instant legitimacy for people who believe they are outside a system that is rigged against them.  Despite this, the Biden DOJ went ahead and charged him the exact same crime (mishandling classified information) that Trump refused to prosecute CLinton for and Biden also got a pass on. That's a dream scenario for a politician.

2.  Biden should have done everything short of declare war on New York to stop it from prosecuting Trump for those ridiculous crimes.   A ridiculous indictment after a prosecutor already passed on it for literally the same misdemeanor Hillary committed was another gift The reasoning about burnishing Trump's image applies in spades here.  Instead, they sent one of the leading attorneys in the DOJ to New York to handle the trial.  That indictment sealed the nomination for him.

3. Be normal. Stop the costumes and being shrill scolds. Stop calling everyone who disagrees with you a fascist or Nazi, or garbage.

4.  Oppose open borders from the beginning. Keep the Trump EOs and work to reform the system.  Embracing open borders to the point cities had to cut their budgets to take care of illegal migrants was sheer lunacy and recognized as such  by everyone who isn't part of La Raza.

5.  Triangulate.  There are a numerous insane people in the democratic coalition. Instead of pandering to them (bail for terrorists!, sex changes for illegal migrants at the taxpayers expense) have a sista souljah moment and criticize the more extreme left wing positions.  Even a modicum of moderation would have been huge.

6. Realize its not 1992 anymore. The Democrats are like tame house cats used to controlling the environment through a friendly media who always frames the story as they wish, or simply refuses to cover stories that put them in a bad light. The internet has been chipping away at their control but it fell apart with Musk's purchase of twitter. Suddenly, they couldn't control social media by having stories banned or muted. Zuck stopped helping and Twitter completely left Democrat's control.

Hiding Biden might have worked before Musk took over Twitter, but too many people can now see the evidence without it being censored. It made the heavy handed attempts to counter the videos of Biden's struggles (the unedited videos are deepfakes!) so ridiculous and destroyed the credibility of everyone involved. I still don't think Democrats how badly their conspiracy to cover up his condition destroyed their credibility. One issue they had on Trump and they went nuclear on the notion they had any more integrity than Trump.

Democrats (and the legacy media) have to learn to engage with voters who can't be so easily manipulated. They can't just lie about firing squads or very fine people without people having easy access to the truth.

7.  Hire a competent spokesperson. KJP did so much damage to Biden/Harris with her incompetence and lies.

8.  Biden should have announced he wasn't running the day after midterms. It was obvious he's incapable of serving another term and it would have stopped the conspiracy and allowed Democrats to hold an actual primary and vote for their nominee.

9.  Select Shapiro as the VP. Walz was such a clown and provided no benefit but comedic relief. If you look at the polls, the Vance Walz debate is when the election turned. Shapiro might not have been enough to win, but at least it would shown Democrats weren't afraid of having a Jewish person on the ticket.

10.  Offer some sort of program on the economy.  Focusing on tertiary issues while ignoring the elephant in the room was malpractice.

11. Stop the racialist obsession. The left's embrace of wokery starting about 10 years has done more damage to the nation's fabric than just about anything. It's designed to segregate and set Americans against each other. A reaction is inevitable.

It took a lot of work for Democrats to lose this election. Just being normal and focusing on economic matter would have been enough to win, considering Trump's manifest problems.

Actually exit polling showed Democracy was the biggest issue, slightly bigger than the economy.  Democrats told us democracy was over if we elected a fascist. America rejected that nonsense.

He won the popular vote and electoral college by a wide margin rejecting the bizarre disinformation pushed on this country.

For the Democrats it was but not overall. For Republicans the #1 issue was still the economy. But I agree that the voting does tell us that attempting to label him as a fascist and a Nazi was wrong and correctly rejected by the electorate.

This is so tiresome.  Trump did not act to stop the "riot" on the afternoon of Jan 6th BECAUSE HE WANTED IT TO SUCCEED.

Trump was asked about this specifically, if belatedly, 3 or 4 times this year on national television, including at two debates.  HE DID NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION, HE IMMEDIATELY CHANGED THE SUBJECT.  He may be a moron jagoff, but he has enough sense to not speak when all he can do is incriminate himself.

Trump also approved of a plan for his vice president to DECLARE him the winner of the 2020 election.  It is right there in black and white.

Oh he's a traitor, you guys just dont want to know about it, thats why almost no conservative on this site watched the J6committee, and none of you can discuss the evidence against him.  The president is calling up state officials asking them to deny the facts and give him more votes, or send the fate of the election to state legislatures? Jesus Christ, what is wrong with you people?  Well now we know, you dont care if a traitor is president.

On the view they called the Harris campaign flawless.  How do you explain that level of delusion? This sees, to encapsulate it

They are so convicted of their own righteousness as to believe that their policies and their standard bearers are above reproach. Democrats can never fail American voters; American voters can only fail Democrats. There is hence no need for introspection, self-reflection, or modifications to their strategies, because these things are already perfect. The only imperfect things here, in their minds, are you and me. We are flawed, we let them down, and it’s incumbent on us, not them, to do better. They haven’t learned, and they likely never will learn. Let them enjoy the next four years.

Did Trump want the riot to succeed , or not?  If you dont think he wanted it to succeed why did he sit watching it on tv for hours while doing nothing to end it.   And dont say he sent out a tweet asking the mob to "remain peaceful" when Ashley babbitt was already dead and dozens of cops were fighting for their lives when he sent out that tweet.

If Trump has a good explanation for his actions why didnt he give it?  He was directly asked what he was doing multiple times and he changed the subject every time.

What the hell is wrong with you people?

In history, treason has often included the assassination of leaders. Treason against the king was called high treason and treason against a lesser role was called petty treason. A treasonous person is called a traitor.

Do you think Trump was being faithful to his duty while he watched tv for hours while cops were being beaten at the capitol, offices were being ransacked, and a dude with horns on his head sat in the leadership chair on the US Senate floor?

There is sworn testimony that around that time Trump was told the mob was chanting "hang Mike pence" and he replied "so what?"

I ask again, what is wrong with you people?

You dont have to have committed treason to be a traitor.

18 USC §2381. Says differently.

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Treason MUST be charges and to be convicted the prosecutor must PROVE that the act was committed.  It must also be corroborated by at least 2 witnesses.  To date, the burden of proof has NOT BEEN MET .

Don't you think that if the J6 Shitshow even remotely thought they met the burden of proof charges would have been filed?

So spare us your opinion on the matter.

There simply is no middle ground to them. On many occasions I have asked someone on the left to give me definition of what the consider MAGA to be and not one has ever provided a answer. I should have added to show a little leadership. Harris spent her entire campaign avoiding specifics, to the point where she was afraid to say whether she supported Prop 36 which undid the prop that allowed criminals to run rampant and ruin San FRancisco. It was uncontroversial enough that 70% of Californians supported it but Harris wouldn't address it.

The political lawfare was a huge mistake. The attempt to pad swing states with illegals became a catalyst for minority voters. Then of course the realization the legacy media cannot tell the truth really devastated the Kamala campaign. The men for Harris ads featuring beta cucks turned out to be a total disaster.  Running an empty vessel with no particular platform wasn't such a good idea either. Having no answers for what could be done about inflation and our economy was a dud.

And Towards the end of the campaign, putting Diddy Party attendees on the stage to endorse your candidate was a big mistake.

No decent men support the traitor trump.  The 'men' who support trump are as impotent as he.

Nothing out of the ordinary.  Just like the infatuation with the sexuality of people

Despite outspending Republicans two to one,

Lack of fiscal responsibility.  That was the first indication that I wasn't going to "vote blue".

3. Be normal. Stop the costumes and being shrill scolds. Stop calling everyone who disagrees with you a fascist or Nazi, or garbage.

This is something that we still hear from the Democrats and their supporters daily.  It's tiresome and their constant shrieking about it no longer has the same effect.

4.  Oppose open borders from the beginning. Keep the Trump EOs and work to reform the system.

This was a MAJOR mistake by the Democrats.  Granted we all know that the reason they threw the borders open was because Trump worked to get things moving to better secure them.  Suing border states for trying to do what the Democrats failed to do didn't help either.

5.  Triangulate... criticize the more extreme left wing positions.

Now goes both ways.  Neither the Republicans or Democrats will really criticize their extreme sides.

6. Realize its not 1992 anymore. The Democrats are like tame house cats used to controlling the environment through a friendly media who always frames the story as they wish, or simply refuses to cover stories that put them in a bad light.

The media completely annihilated their own credibility with their coverage.  They have reduced themselves to mere bloggers with the lies and cover-ups despite what everybody has witnessed.

7.  Hire a competent spokesperson. KJP did so much damage to Biden/Harris with her incompetence and lies.

KJP, IMHO, is a DEI hire.  (Well, much of Biden's administration could be considered DEI hires.)  She was horrible at her job.  Rarely answered a question and frequently threw a tantrums on questions that she couldn't answer.

Reality is, we haven't had a good Press Secretary is a long time.

8.  Biden should have announced he wasn't running the day after midterms. It was obvious he's incapable of serving another term and it would have stopped the conspiracy and allowed Democrats to hold an actual primary and vote for their nominee.

This was another thing that caused me not to "vote blue".  The Democrats played off the obvious mental decline of Biden.  The media is just as culpable.  After the Trump / Biden debate, there was no denying the mental issues Biden has.  Hence we ended up with Kamala Harris as the Democrat candidate.

10.  Offer some sort of program on the economy.  Focusing on tertiary issues while ignoring the elephant in the room was malpractice.

I don't think they had any idea what to do about the economy.  The Biden administration has failed at every attempt to slow it.

11. Stop the racialist obsession.

I don't think the Democrat will can move from that.  They have been pushing race in so much over such a long time, they don't know anything else.  On one hand they shriek about "equality" then turn around and treat some as imbeciles.  The subterfuge was exposed a long time ago and they haven't realized it yet.

Not "easily" when culture war issues like the "trans" bathroom panic which fueled a massive negative advertising blitz on Football games close to the election by the Trump campaign and an ad blitz by Republican PAC's. Fear is a wildfire when ignited and the Trump campaign and Republicans played the fear card for all it will as worth and won. Hard to beat the culture war "trans" panic in sports and bathrooms when the fear factor overrode all common sense. Elect the party that promises to get rid of "trans" people and you will be safe.
