World leaders react to Trump victory 'on history's greatest comeback'
World leaders quickly took to X to congratulate former President Donald Trump on his unprecedented victory against Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday.

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

JERUSALEM—Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was one of the first world leaders to congratulate former President Donald Trump on his stunning political comeback victory on Wednesday.

Netanyahu, who is leading a seven-front existential war against Iran's regime and its proxies, wrote on X, "Dear Donald and Melania Trump, Congratulations on history's greatest comeback! Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America. This is a huge victory! In true friendship, yours, Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu."

Fox News projected Trump as the winner of the presidential election in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

An array of world leaders also chimed in to congratulate Trump on X. French President Emmanuel Macron said on X, "Congratulations, President @realDonaldTrump . Ready to work together as we did for four years. With your convictions and mine. With respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity."

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban wrote,"The biggest comeback in US political history! Congratulations to President @realDonaldTrump on his enormous win. A much needed victory for the World!"

Orban, like Trump, is a proponent of strict border control.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stressed that the U.S. and the United Kingdom are the "closest of allies" and noted that the "US-UK special relationship will continue to prosper on both sides of the Atlantic for years to come." He said "Congratulations President-elect @realDonaldTrump on your historic election victory. I look forward to working with you in the years ahead."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who like Netanyahu, is leading his country in an existential war, stated on X, "Congratulations to @realDonaldTrump on his impressive election victory! I recall our great meeting with President Trump back in September, when we discussed in detail the Ukraine-U.S. strategic partnership, the Victory Plan, and ways to put an end to Russian aggression against Ukraine."

He added "I appreciate President Trump's commitment to the 'peace through strength' approach in global affairs. This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. I am hopeful that we will put it into action together. We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump's decisive leadership. We rely on continued strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States."

Zelenskyy continued, "We are interested in developing mutually beneficial political and economic cooperation that will benefit both of our nations."

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, also took to X to give his warm regards to Trump. The leader of the world's most populous nation stated, "Heartiest congratulations my friend@realDonaldTrump on your historic election victory. As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our collaboration to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership. Together, let's work for the betterment of our people and to promote global peace, stability and prosperity."

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele also congratulated Trump on X, stating, "Congratulations to the President-Elect of the United States of America … May God bless and guide you."

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz praised Trump on X noting, "I congratulate @realDonaldTrump on his election as US President. For a long time, Germany and the US have been working together successfully promoting prosperity and freedom on both sides of the Atlantic. We will continue to do so for the wellbeing of our citizens."

"Congratulations to President Donald Trump on his election victory. Australians and Americans are great friends and true allies. Working together, we can ensure the partnership between our nations and peoples remains strong into the future," wrote Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Their "unifying efforts" have backfired on them.  The nation become unified and told them to go away.

Now they will cry and whine about it with renewed vigor.

They did that back in the 2016 election cycle.  For me their credibility and integrity was gone then.  They've devolved into mere bloggers / vloggers pushing opinion.

Misinformation is flooding down the stream
Opinion skews the facts, this isn't what It seems
Headlines with no content
Clickbait to distract
Unrest and paranoia
Fearful to react
Social commentary, switch the outrage, change the news
Media corporations, spin the coverage, write the views
Each side is reciting, "I am right and you are wrong"
Sowing more division was intent all along

Angry dissertations from conspiracy sites

Not only will our enemies be far more cautious, but our military will be rebuilt.

"Despite robust efforts and the introduction of several pilot programs in Fiscal Year (FY) 2023, the U.S. Navy missed each of its recruitment goals.

The Navy  announced on Tuesday that they fell short by 7,464 for enlisted sailors, with only 30,236 enlistments of its 37,700 target enlistments."

Navy 7,000 sailors short of recruitment goals

There are several but the two that come to mind are his participation in the Afghanistan evacuation debacle. He knew what Biden was doing and went along with it. The other is his pushing DEI and woke ideology onto a military that did not need it and are a  detriment to military morale and efficiency.

Just because he served 44 years doen not mean that was 44 years of outstanding service. I've known plenty of very capable officers that reach flag rank then sit back and homestead until retirement. I'm sure you saw it in the Army as well.

And no I am not comparing his record to Trump's.

There are several but the two that come to mind are his participation in the Afghanistan evacuation debacle. He knew what Biden was doing and went along with it.

Milley, Trump’s selected CJCS, wasn’t the Combatant Commander, GEN Frank McKenzie was.

Milley, McKenzie and numerous Defense Department officials denied during congressional testimonies that Biden's claim that his decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan was because of advice from senior US military leaders and stated that they had in fact advised him to keep some troops in Afghanistan.

The other is his pushing DEI and woke ideology onto a military that did not need it and are a  detriment to military morale and efficiency.

I work with Army senior leaders, some that voted for Trump who also have kids at the academy,  they don’t know what this little culture war really entailed.  If you want money for your budget, it’s smart to throw Congress a bone.

Just because he served 44 years doen not mean that was 44 years of outstanding service. I've known plenty of very capable officers that reach flag rank then sit back and homestead until retirement. I'm sure you saw it in the Army as well.

What was their role in the debacle, following the orders from the Commander in Chief?

Senior White House and State Department officials looked the other way during the Taliban’s steady advance on Afghanistan’s capital.  They resisted efforts by our military leaders to prepare the evacuation of embassy personnel and Afghan allies weeks before Kabul’s fall.  This caused the risk to our troops ordered to carry out the withdrawal.

No, not at all.  Maybe you’ve confused the State Department with our military.  That summer, the military advised keeping 2,500 troops as a minimum until State finished the evacuation.  Biden cut it to 650.

I suspect you know damn well who is ultimately responsible for those troops well being and not blindly following orders that may be unnecessarily unsound or dangerous.

What should the commanders have done at this point, retire on the spot?

I was doing top of the hour check-ins from 7 to 9cst last night.  He had the such a lead on electoral votes there was no need to watch even further.  GOP voters got out WAY early and voted.  Hell, IN, KY, TN, AL, FL, VA, TX, SC were called at 7pm.  Didn't really call GA but areas that mattered to Trump, those small counties on GA borders to TN, AL, SC and FL, were showing red.  And Harris only had a few WAY up the east coast that didn't matter.

What surprised me this morning was the entire map was friggin' red.  It didn't hit me at first, but once I got a sip of coffee it did; that joker cleared the board and won the popular vote too!!.  At least Clinton won the popular vote.  Trump picked up votes from folks no one bet on, and it's not just disdain for Harris, Biden, democrats, non-GOPpers.

Gender had little to do with Harris’s loss.    Her past record, lack of a primary win, rampant flip flopping and milquetoast campaign performance was responsible.

No doubt.

Obviously for good or bad, America voted early and heavily red.  From beginning GOP answered the call and voted early, with their candidate jumping out on electoral and collecting it and the popular vote overwhelmingly.  And gaining the Senate and most likely house.  With everything locked, the GOP now has to put up for their promises.  From the supposed well-educated and knowledgeable men and women in their over-priced homes and cars w/ un-doc'd nannies & landscapers to the Archie Bunkers, Jethros, Bud-Lighters and their sister-cousin-wives and Maury-Springer-Wilko ladies who got off their keysters and voted, all expect it payback.

Having said that, I do have a few questions for individuals here:

  1. With the talk of departing immigrants, un-doc workers day one, or at least throughout first year / this term, who are going to fill those low-paying Ag, "manufacturing", low-skill jobs?  Obvious not the ones who wouldn't work the jobs before the migrants, immigrants came here to fill them right?  Have you thought about the continuing of off-shoring IT and tech jobs to India and assembly jobs to across the border and other places beyond?  I mean, even the MAGA hats, shirts, bibs, flags, diapers, socks are imported.
  2. Considering Trump, Musk and others don't believe in unions, labor protections, even overtime and the like, are any of you afraid of workers, some of you no doubt, getting kcuf'd in the end?  Are you afraid the off-shoring will continue?  Like Musk stated last week or so, going to be some pain for most.
  3. Considering Americans love their cheap goods, how can we continue to afford items when majority of items are imported, mainly from China, and will be heavily tariffed?  Again, Americans aren't going to work meat packing, Ag / farming, custodial, low-skill & paying jobs so...
  4. Without ACA, which some of you are probably on or know people who are on it, once it gets canned what are they to do?  The complaint is always having to "pay" for people who don't have insurance, on the governments teet, what happens?
  5. Social Security. With continued talk of "persuading" folks to work until age 70 anyway, any thoughts of the cutting & gutting it and just increasing "retirement" age to say, 75 or 77, or the funeral?

Not poking the bear and not trying to offend anyone, but at same time, poking the bear.  Really looking for some folks' thoughts on the above as these changes will effect EVERYONE, not just "other" folks.  Granted, I haven't finished reading Project 2025, but am anticipating it and its revisions.  And from what I've read, it's going to be, interesting to say the least.
